CURRICULUM VITAE
As an associate at Glaholt & Associates in Toronto, Nicholas practiced primarily civil, commercial and construction litigation appearing before all levels of courts and many tribunals. As an associate at Bitz, Szemenyei, Ferguson & MacKenzie LLP in London, Nicholas continued expanding his litigation practice while developing a practice in intellectual property, information technology, Internet, e-commerce, and computer law and litigation and wills and estates. Since opening up his own practice, Nicholas continues to provide clients with his services in the above areas, while expanding his practice to meet client needs in the corporate and commercial law area with a special focus on privacy law issues. Nicholas has been an executive of the Canadian Bar Association of Ontario's Information Technology and E-Commerce Section and the Section's Technical Liaison. Nicholas was also a moderator of the Section's private Online Discussion Group which includes all Ontario lawyers. Nicholas has written extensively on the legal issues surrounding various technologies and their protection under Canadian intellectual property regimes. He has also authored papers on the transfer and licensing of technology internationally. In his spare time, Nicholas is a professor at London’s Fanshawe College and has created, developed, taught and continues to teach courses in Legal Applications (Software), Computer Applications, Legal Accounting, Legal Communications, Legal Research, Law and Contract Negotiations, Law in an Online Environment, Landlord and Tenant Law, Strategies for Success, Business Law and Health Law. Nicholas is also currently developing and publishing various online legal courses in partnership with Fanshawe. Having studied computer programming at the University level, Nicholas has also created numerous computer applications and databases for law offices and also designs, develops, creates content for, publishes and maintains various professional and organizational web-sites through his computer technology consulting company.
Nicholas also provides computer consulting, design and training services such

technology and resources for law firms and other businesses; (b)
litigation support (through Summation software); (c)
developing custom IT solutions for businesses; (d)
web-site design, development, content creation, publishing and

lawyer, support staff, group and individual training for MS-Office
applications, QuickLaw & Internet-based researching, Summation litigation
support software; (g)
legal research, contract work; (h) corporate and commercial assistance of businesses and individuals through the provision of legal services including negotiating and drafting contracts and agreements; (i) licensing and protecting intellectual property, technology and other interests, amongst other things.
